Covid-19’s daily case fell slightly from the previous day with around 3.4 lakh fresh infections reported on Friday, but the dead day was up to the highest in the current wave.
With data from one country has not entered, India has recorded 3.36,762 new cases on Friday, down from the previous day’s calculation of nearly 3.48 lakh, according to the Covid Toi database.
As many as 407 deaths from the virus were reported to be almost midnight, the highest during the third wave.
The highest victim was previously recorded on Wednesday.
Maharashtra posted the highest case calculation in the country on Friday at 48,270, because infection continued to surge in several parts of the country.
The city reported 5,008 fresh infections, the lowest calculation of this year.
Instead, Pune records the addition of one day high of 16,618 cases.
Surge continues in Karnataka as a country posted 48,049 new cases, with Bengaluru accounting for 29,068.
Kerala, where the daily case has been enlarged to 46,387 on Thursday, recorded a slight decline to 41,668 although the level of peposititivity on Friday remains very high at 43.76%.
Maharashtra also recorded the highest death in this country during the day, with 52 fatalities.
Death remains high in Delhi (38), Bengal (35), Tamil Nadu and Kerala (33 each).
Bound-Bound Uttar Pradesh recorded 22 deaths, the highest daily toll in the state in several months.
The downward trend in everyday case continues in Delhi, which posted 10,756 new cases, down from the calculation of Thursday 12,306 and fell more than 60% of the third wave peak of 28.867 on January 13.
Other countries that continued to decrease including Bengal – 9,154 on Friday, dropped from the peak of 24,287 on January 9 – and Jharkhand, which posted 2,449 cases on Thursday compared to the peak of 4,719 on January 11.
