Kolkata: Bengal recorded 9,154 cases on Friday, the second time in the last few days that the new load was dipped below 10,000.
On January 17, there were 9,385, but only 35,515 tests; Friday’s figures came after a day 72,738 tests, bringing participants to 12.58%.
Kolkata saw a new case swimming to 1,375, the lowest this year.
