LUCKNOW: The number of active cases of Covid-19 dropped below the 1,000-mark for the first time in 75 days, on Sunday.
While 42 more persons tested positive for the novel coronavirus infection, 159 recovered from the disease.
As a result, the patients with active infection status dropped to 999.
Earlier, active cases were 954 on March 23.

People who have recovered need to be vigilant about their conditions and consult a doctor immediately if they feel anything unusual.The infection, however, claimed the lives of five patients in the past 24 hours, taking the second wave toll to 1,352.
Over 1.55 lakh people were infected, of whom over 1.53 lakh recovered.
