Banihal / Jammu: Some of the main tunnels at the Banihal-Katra train link under the construction of 111-km in Jammu and Kashmir are completed on Saturday, an official said.
Tunnel T-49B is 12.6 km and the longest tunnel from the Indian train.
This is part of the Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Line (USBRL) project.
The part that was completed on Saturday was between Adit and Arpinchala Kundan in Khari Tehsil, a company that committed the construction of the project.
Built with a new Austrian tunneling method in the distribution district, the completion tunnel will have a double track, the official said.
He said tunneling was done very carefully considering the geological challenges.
On December 5 last year, another tunnel in the Bankot area near Banihal was connected after a breakthrough, while the work in Pylon from the first cable in India the train bridge in Anji Khad in Reasasy Regency was completed on January 4, brightening the train opportunity that connects Kashmir with all countries in Next year.
From the USBL 272-km project, work at 161 km was assigned to the phase.
The first phase of the 118-km Qazigund-Baramulla was assigned in October 2009, followed by the 18-km Banihal-Qazigund in June 2013 and 25 km Udhampur-Katra in July 2014.
