New Delhi: Paying Tengira for Shiv Sena Founder Ballasaheb Thackeray on his birthday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday said he would be remembered forever as an extraordinary leader who always stood with the people.
Taking to Twitter, the Prime Minister wrote, “I pay homage to Thackeray in Jayanti.
He will be remembered forever as an extraordinary leader who always stands with people.” Ballasaheb Thackeray was born on January 23, 1926 in Pune.
Balasaheb left his job as a cartoonist in the ‘free press journal’ daily newspaper in 1960 to find Shiv Sena on June 19, 1966 to advocate for the interests of the marathism or the people of Maharashtra.
He died on November 17, 2012 after suffering a heart attack at the age of 86 years.
