Chandigarh: Punjab Congress Head Navjot Singh Sidhu, Sunday questioned the time of recent raids the enforcement director and called them as “political revenge” but confirmed that he did not give clean chit to anyone.
Sidhu further said his party would win at least 70 seats from the 117-assembly seat in the Election of the State Assembly came if the “clear agenda” for the state that is members of the Manifesto poll.
Answering questions about the raids of the enforcement directorate in many places including the place of the niece of Charanjit Singh Channi’s minister, Sidhu slammed the BJP Center leader during the raid and said Ed took action after almost four years of case registration.
He said they were sleeping for four years and when the State Assembly Election came close, the raid was carried out by the enforcement directorate.
When asked if he was giving a clean chit by questioning the time of the edge of Ed, Sidhu said, “I did not give any clean chit.
Please don’t misunderstand.
I don’t give anyone clean chit.
Let the law take the way.
“If you can prove the link then I will be the first person to criticize.
But if you make political revenge then I don’t with you.
Because I know the ER, CBI and institutions have been used politically.
That is the fact.
If they can prove the link then I will say what I have to say.
But today it is clear that it is a political revenge, “Sidhu said in a media interaction select here.
Ed on Wednesday said that it seized cash of more than Rs 10 Crore, including around Rs 8 Crore from a relative of Channi, as long as the raids were carried out in an anti-money laundering investigation case against wild sand-mining operations in the polls – bound.
This action began after taking responsibility from the 2018 FIR (Shaheed District of Bhagat Singh Nagar) Nawanshahr police and several police complaints such as several companies and individuals allegedly involved in illegal sand mining businesses in the state.
