Coimbatore: Siddha Covid-19 Center 100 Beded Opened at the College of Technology Government in Coimbatore on Monday.
This center has been established in Hostel on campus.
Inauguration of the facility, created by the Ayush Department, Collector Collector G S SS SSEANAN said a total of 15,200 beds had been intended to face the third wave of Covid-19.
From them, 12,000 beds have been given so far.
Although the number of cases has increased, hospitalization is very minimal.
“Only 11% of the allocated beds have been occupied so far.
Oxygen bed residence is even more minimal,” he said.
According to him, the district has performed well when it comes to vaccination with 97.6% has been vaccinated for the first dose and 82% of eligible people have been vaccinated for the second dose.
Likewise, 43% of people who qualify for the dose of booster have been vaccinated.
He said strict actions were being carried against people who violated the behavior that fits Covid.
Rs 5.53 lakh is collected well against violators on Sundays.
Industries found violate standard operating procedures also face strict action.
Clusters were reported in several industries in tendrils and pollachi and they were temporarily closed.
“Some of them have reopened now,” he said.
Republican day celebrations in the district will become a low key product this time.
Cultural events by students and adolescents will not happen.
Freedom fighters will be respected by officials who visit their homes, he said.
People were asked not to attend a Republic Day event at VOC Ground.
