Nagpur / Wardha: students Seven of Datta Meghe Institute of Medical Sciences, Sawangi, Wardha, was killed when a speeding their SUV plunged 40-feet from the bridge to the bed rocky dry river Badhari, outside the village Selsura in Deoli-Wardha Road, shortly before midnight Monday.
The bodies were found in a long night operation.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi tweeted sorrow and solidarity with the student’s family members died, and the compensation announced.
Modi expressed RS2 lakh compensation to families of the deceased.
Avishkar Rahangdale, son of BJP MLA from Tirora in Gondia, the first year MBBS student, also was among the dead.
The students had gone to celebrate a birthday, and returned from Yavatmal when the accident occurred about 20km from Wardha.
Birthday child Pawan Shakti, the first year MBBS student, also died.
The others died is Neetesh Singh, Neeraj Chauhan, Pratyush Singh, Vivek Nandan, and Shubham Jaiswal.
Except Rahangdale, the remaining six hail from other states like Bihar, Uttar Pradesh and Odisha.
Nandan Vivek student’s final year was the only one living outside the college.
IG Chhering Dorje, who visited the scene of the accident, officials from the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), issued instructions to conduct a survey for a place prone to accidents on the highway and update the status of ‘black spots’ between Nagpur and Yavatmal.
Seven friends have left the hostel in a car owned by Niteesh Kumar Singh, intern, late at night.
Singh has studied body trapped under the car was heavily damaged.
The police have to work hard a few hours to pick up the dead bodies scattered on the riverbed.
Even the final body of Neeraj Chauhan students trapped in the car, which was reduced to a pile of crushed iron and steel.

Piyush SDPO Jagtap said hood was crumpled almost to the middle seat due to the impact.
“The doors of the car open the possibility of getting thrown to the impact of landing on the hood.
The passengers were all thrown out into the river rocks, leading to serious injuries which led to their death, “said Jagtap.
SP Prashant Holkar said violations of rash and negligent driving causing the death of another person will be registered at the police station Sawangi.
Senior inspector of the police station Balasaheb Thorat Sawangi said local villagers to provide support to the police to locate the crash site and took the body.
“There are no witnesses and we do not even know where the accident actually happened.
The villagers have just heard some noise near the bridge and do not know anything beyond that, “said Thorat.
Police said the parents of the deceased have been informed about the incident and they were on their way to Wardha.
