Patna: The state government has told the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) that has paid RS3 to 9 lakh each to 49 victims of sexual abuse in the home shelter in Muzaffarpur.
“The actions taken by the state government revealed that the FIR (33/2018) filed by the Mahila Police Station in Muzaffarpur underneath, 376 and 34 of IPC and Sections 4, 6, 8, 10 and 12 of Law registered POCSO On May 31, 2018 and, then, the investigation of this case is transferred to the CBI.

NHRC had registered a case based on a complaint in this case on 29 November 2018.
In addition to commissions, Saket Court also recommend compensation for victims.
“The Commission has also been informed that the registration of NGOs, which run Muzaffarpur Balika Grih, canceled and residential premises were also destroyed in accordance with a court order.
The whole investigation monitored by the Supreme Court concluded within the period specified,” the communique said.
