Ludhiana: In a disaster situation for the Congress on the National President Rahul Gandhi was a Punjab tour, MLA four times the party from Samrala Amrik Singh Dhillon submitted a nomination as independent on Thursday after being rejected by tickets.
Development occurred after the Congress Party in the list of second candidates deployed King Gill (close to the trust of the minister of cabinet Gurkirat Singh Kotli) from Samrala in Ludhiana Punjab Regency.
Interestingly, recently Minister of Punjab Charanjit Singh Channi has led a rally in Samrala held by Dhillon where he projected Dhillon as a party leader who was very prominent and loyal.
Dhillon talked to TOI after applying for a nomination as independent and said, “My career at the Congress party stretched more than forty years and I was MLA four times from Samrala, but all of these credentials had been ignored to give a ticket to someone who could not even win the election of the board .
“” Not just me but those of the selection is stored in the dark because congressional leaders topmost continues to demonstrate with my name and today is a gift that we get.
