Ulhasnagar: In a large setback to rule Shiv Sena at Ulhasnagar Municipal Corporation (UMC), BJP won the Transport Post chairman by defeating Shiv candidate Sena by 1 sound on Friday.
Prospective BJP Subhash Tanawa secured 7 votes against Shiv Sena’s Inder Goplani who secured 6 votes.
BJP’s victory was said to be short for Shiv Sena in Ulhasnagar.
BJP which only has 4 members in the transportation committee received support from 2 votes NCP members supported by Omie Kalani and 1 vote of the Chairman of the Committee Stand.
Political sources said that the corporators supported by Cyani who were in the Alliance with Shiv Sena during the transportation chair of transportation helped BJP to take revenge from Shiv Sena, who recently broke Kalani supported the Deputy Sandip Pawashe Sarpanch from Kamba Village and had joined Shiv Sena.
Kamlesh Nikam, Kalani’s supporters said, “We are still part of MVA but if there are parties (Shiv Sena) will try to destroy our party supporters, we will take revenge on Cinyi’s style.”
