Hyderabad: Cryber Crooks from Jharkhand now recruit Telugu speakers to work in the call center to deceive people in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, the police have found the arrest of nine from Telangana, including five students, on Friday.
Police Rachakonda said that Katravath Raju’s automatic driver, K Santosh, D Srinasulu; Five students, e Ganesh, M Venkatesh, K Harilal, K Ganesh, M Ganesh; And K Raju farmers were arrested from Dhanbad.
The police said that Katravath began recruiting people from Telangana for rackets after dealing with Vikram Thakur of Jharkhand.
Both have become friends because Thakur always uses Katravath to travel every time he comes to Hyderabad.
“Vikram told Katravat that he and his colleagues at Jharkhand found it difficult to execute cyber fraud in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh because of language barriers.
To overcome this weakness, Vikram used Katravath to get Telugu speakers to work in the telephone center of Jharkhand,” said A police officer Rachakonda.
Vikram offers a 30 percent commission for Katravath for helping him recruit Telugu speaking people who can call people in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh as part of their online fraud to offer loans and other banking services.
The police said that Katravath in turn contacted his brother-in-law Santosh to arrange people from the original Pedamandad place in the Wanaparthy district.
In January 2021, the arrested was now arrested going to Dhanbad where Vikram arranged accommodation, police said.
Nine of these defendants were given training on how to execute online fraud like phishing.
The police said that Vikram Thakur held a different SIM card and also had a bank account on a fictitious name.
