Mumbai: Following complaints raised on Twitter by a BMC journalist has suspended an employee to demand money to issue a certificate of death and copy afterwards.
Shashank Rao, a journalist has filed a complaint on Twitter (@mybmc) BMC about an employee who works under the R / Central department to demand money and accept it.
After the Cabinet Minister Aaditya Thackeray watched the Tweet and directed BMC’s head to take action, health officials were sent to verify complaints.
The first copy of the death certificate is given for free and after that RS 6 is charged for each photocopy.
