Muzaffarnagar: A farmer charred after a fire broke in the cane field here on Sunday, police said.
They identified the deceased such as Rajpal (65) from Rajpur Kalan Village under the boundaries of the Jankath police station.
The police said Rajpal worked in the field when the fire broke.
The plants also burned.
The cause of the fire has not been confirmed, they said.
His autopsy can reveal further information, police said.
