New Delhi: A week since the Delhi Government seeks community participation in making a budget of 2022-23, has received more than 1,000 suggestions, which are mostly related to education, health and economic growth.
“The government has introduced participatory budgeting for transparency, accountability, and the first governance of people,” said an official.
The last date for sending suggestions is February 15, because the budget session is being planned in the last week of March, said the source.
The official said that many of his suggestions were quite unique, such as the development of ‘Mohalla Library’ on the ‘Mohalla Clinic’ line to help provide privacy while learning to residents of a solid population.
“There are suggestions for incentives to adopting electric vehicles through steps such as cheaper parking,” he said.
“Other innovative suggestions include small-scale solar power plants, local waste treatment plants, water use processed for garden irrigation and the gathering of e-waste from the doorway.
