Hyderabad: The Ministry of Health has set goals to complete the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine to people between the ages of 15 and 17 years at the end of February.
At present, the state has been vaccinated by 67% of people in this age group.
The health department is preparing to complete this drive by using a mobile van drive and has contacted the school and college administration in this case.
Vaccination will be given before the teacher by the authorities.
Steps are taken to educate students about the importance of getting vaccinations.
According to officials, the majority of students and others from educational institutions have been infected, pose a risk for parents and people with comorbidity.
“Completing the drive vaccine will help curb deposits to a certain extent,” said the top official.
Drive vaccines are very slow during the first week of administration, but after constant persuasion, it was taken.
In the district, Vicabad, Ranga Reddy, and Kumaramheem have not completed 50% of the drive vaccine, while Hanumakonda is at 98%.
At Mahbubnagar, Narayanpet, Wanaparthy, and Khammam almost 90% of the target groups have been vaccinated.
Jogulamba Gadwal, Mulitu, Nirmal, Sangareddy, and Adilabad has completed more than 80% of the first dose coverage for this age group.
Strangely, Hyderabad is one of the regencies with the lowest coverage of 51%.
Officials say some parents and students are still hesitant to take a vaccine and be under the impression of the current wave of light.
“We approached people like that and convinced them to take Jab,” said an official.
