Nagpur: Schools, colleges and coaching classes have been given permission to reopen on Tuesday in Nagpur, which led to mixed reactions among stakeholders.
Although the order of the Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) does not mention training institutions, Commissioner Radhakrishnan B confirmed to TOI that even these private classes can be reopened in the city.
Based on existing guidelines, whether actually reopened or not is a decision the school or college.
Also, the physical presence (for probe test of non-board) is optional.
District Collector R Vimala reaffirm the importance of following all the guidelines Covid when reopening of educational institutions, which is a standard operating procedure (SOP) has been issued.
Ashnarayan Tiwari, the principal of Adarsh Vidya Mandir (Gandhibagh), welcomed the news.
“Students can not learn in an online mode for any obstacles will have the opportunity to connect with mainstream education,” he said.
Vaccination is encouraged for students who qualify.
Recent orders reminding principals that they should ensure that students wear masks and their body temperature checked before they enter the school premises.
Institute of higher education is also now preparing to welcome students back on campus.
As directed by the government of Maharashtra, Nagpur University (NU) has allowed universities and affiliated done to reopen to teach offline from Tuesday.
Circular in this regard was issued by the Registrar of NU Raju Hiwase, asking college in Bhandara, Gondia and Wardha in addition to Nagpur for the start of classes offline after consultation with the respective authorities of their districts, such as the Commissioner of the Collector and the City, and also consider the pandemic situation ongoing.
