Thiruvananthapuram: The state government has come out with a set of new guidelines for travelers who come to state from abroad and also new testing guidelines for patients who come to hospital.
In accordance with the new protocol, international travelers who come for a period of residence under seven days do not need to undergo quarantine.
If they are detected covid positive, they will report to the nearest health institution.
According to the new testing guidelines, Covid tests need to be done only for patients who have symptoms that indicate Covid and patients whose treatment requires Covid status assessment according to the decision of a treating doctor.
The new guideline said that there needs to be one entry point in the victim and OP for all patients.
There must be a special area to serve patients who are present specifically with covid-related symptoms.
51,887 new cases, TPR at 42.8%: The state on Tuesday reported 51,887 cases from 1.21,048 samples tested in the last 24 hours.
