Pune: The number of Covid-19 cases actively fell to 46,710 in the Pune Metropolitan area (PMR) on Wednesday, with daily recovery (11,393) surpassed new detection (5,850) for the last nine days.
The calculation of active cases in the region has increased above 90,000 a week ago.
Among the recovery of the day, Pune’s city limit recorded 5,521, followed by the Pimpri Chinchwad area (3,492) and a rural part (2,380).
The new cases, the PMC area added more than 2,800, followed by PCMC (1,696) limits and rural parts at 1.308.
A total of 23,340 samples were examined in the region on Wednesday.
Of these, more than 11,120 tests were carried out in the PMC area.
The first level of the day reached 25% for PMR.
A report released by Health Officers Bhagwan Pawar stated that 12 more patients surrendered to infection in the region on Wednesday.
While seven deaths were reported within PMC limits, three patients died within the PCMC and two in rural areas.
Among active patients, 44,797 were in house isolation and 1,913 were treated in various hospitals, DHO reports stated.
Health experts urge citizens to comply with the appropriate behavior of Covid to maintain the infection in the bay.
“People must ensure social distance and use face masks without failing when they come out,” said a health official.
