Notification of Karwa Sanctuary Immediately, Tadoba grew by 80 SQKM

Nagpur: The Chairman of the Minister of Uddhav Thackeray on Thursday called on an integrated tourism plan for Tadoba-Andhari Tiger Reserve (TATR) which involves the proposed Karwa Sanctuary, Tiger Safari, relocation, finalize zonal master plans, and tourism gates featuring local cultural aesthetics.
Overcoming the meeting referred to in the insistence of Minister Guardian Chandrapur Vijay Waddetiwar, Thackeray said the notification of around 80sqkm Karwa Sanctuary, which side by side with the TATR range will soon be issued.
This will not only make Tadoba bigger but helps create this space for big cats.
Thackeray also directed officials to make RS64 Crore conditions for relocation of two villages of Tadoba – Rantalodi and Kolsa.
TATR expansion proposal by adding Karwa will be sent immediately to NTCA.
The 17th meeting of the State Wildlife Council (SWBL) has given permission.
As reported by Toi, the minister’s chairman has requested the Ministry of Forestry to continue the safari center proposal and rescue center in Chandrapur to the state-powered high-powered committee.
He also gives the future to build ‘Tadoba Bhavan’, who will have a field director, deputy director (core and buffer) under one roof.
This project will cost RS18 Crore, the RS3 Crore will be allocated in the budget and conditions will be made for allocations.
The meeting was attended by the main adviser by Minister of Sitaram Kunte, Minister of State for Forest Dattatraya Bharne, Secretary of the Head of Ashish Kumar Singh, Secretary of Vikas Kharge, Secretary of Forest B Venugopal Reddy, PCCF (Wildlife) Sunil Limaye, Director Field of Jitendra Ramagaonkar, Kolektor District Ajay Gulhane and others.
Thackeray also asked officials to submit proposals for solar fences to farmers in the buffer zone to handle human-animal conflicts.
