A team of Indian scientists collaborating with Bengaluru’s official chemicals has developed a self-based nanoparticle-based nanoparticle-based antiviric nanoparticle mask to fight against Covid-19 pandemic.
Biodegradable claimed masks, very breathable and washable.
Wearing public masks is said to be the most effective in reducing the spread of the Covid-19 virus.
At present, there are not too many masks available in India that show antiviral or antibacterial properties.
For this purpose, scientists at the International Advanced Research Center for Metallurgy Powder and New Materials (Arci), the autonomous R & D center of the Department of Science and Technology (DST), the Government of India, cooperated with the Center for Cellular & Molecular Biology (CSIR -CCB) And rechargeable chemicals have developed a nanoparticle-based nanoparticle-based nanoparticle face mask under the nano mission project that is sponsored with DST.
This mask aims to solve two problems today: one, the current face mask only maintains viruses by filtering and not killing them and therefore, susceptible to transmission if the mask is not worn or disposed of correctly.
Two, great concerns are expressed throughout the world about disposal of used masks.
Most of the conventional masks that are effective against Covid-19 are for single use and not bio-degradable, creating serious environmental problems and waste management problems.
Arci developed copper-based nanoparticles of around 20 nanometers by Pyrolysis (FSP) fire processing facilities.
The FSP process involves the conversion of precursor solutions to nanopowder with high temperature pyrolytic decomposition.
Stable nanopelicle suspension is obtained by optimizing solid loading and pH.
The uniform layer of this nano layer on a cotton fabric with a good adhesion is achieved using a suitable binder.
Layered cloth shows efficacy of more than 99.9% against bacteria.
CSIR-CCMB tested the efficacy of this fabric against SARS-COV-2 for their disinfection nature and reported a 99.9% disinfection, as evidenced by the standard results.
The prototype mask has a different design like a single layer and a layer of three with nanoparticle layered cloth as the outer layer has been shown.
Single layer mask is very useful as a mask outside the protective antivirus on ordinary masks.
Resil chemicals work producing large amounts of double layer masks.
