New Delhi: When the re-opening of many awaited schools was announced on Friday, both parents and institutions were relieved in the decision of Delhi disaster management authorities.
Class IX students to XII will continue school from Monday, while they at Nursery to Class VIII will return to classes from February 14.
While direct and online hybrid options will remain available, most schools say it will open for full and ready capacity to accommodate all their students.
Previously, when the class was allowed to continue before the third wave of Covid-19 forced their closure, schools had been instructed to only have 50% of students present, because students who were attended by rotation.
Sudha Acharya, Principal, Itl Public School, Dwarka, said, “With restrictions to subside, we will be able to accommodate all our students.
After February 14, we will also continue the transportation facilities because junior students will not be able to come alone and many parents will also Join work.
The canteen will start from Monday itself.
We hope that many students will return.
“Acharya, who is also the chairman of the National Progressive School Conference, a consortium of around 400 private schools in the city, feels that hybrid mode is an obstacle to commencement of the classroom.
“Hybrid mode will leave the teacher under a lot of pressure.
Now after students have been vaccinated it will be better to have a physical class,” he said.
Tania Joshi, Principal, Indian school, said the government could also do it with the need for parental permission for attendance.
“The same parents and children feel comfortable with online learning, so many may have to be chosen not to come to school.
But the physical class is the need for hours,” Joshi said.
The central government has given the United States to decide whether their school requires parental permission to remember students to class.
The Action Committee, a private school association, welcomed the decision and hopes there will be no more closure.
