Gurgaon: An inspector’s ranking officer and the police chief has been suspended for allegedly taking money from one of the defendants in the murder of a Sergeant University student on campus in October last year.
In the past year from Gurgaon Police, including DCP marks, has been ordered and suspended because it is inappropriate and takes money to investigate investigations.
While investigating the fatal shooting of SGT University of SGT University students, Vijender Hooda Inspector, who was responsible for the 10-crime sector unit, and the head of the same wing head was allegedly repaid to clear the name of the defendant in this case.
Two police officers were placed under the suspension on February 3 after a special task force which then took over this case found irregularities in the crime unit probe and recently submitted a department report on the Duo, TOI October 8, Vinit (24) allegedly shot dead on campus 500-hectares of SGT universities by fellow students – identified as 21-year-old punkit alias luck – for their relationship with other students accused of being friends before.
This case was handed over to the crime unit led by the Hooda Inspector.
And after a week’s pursuit, the crime unit managed to capture punkit from Delhi.
Furthermore, some of his relatives were also ordered to protect punkit and accuse the crime.
The sitting probe found that Hoba took money from one of them because it erased his name from the case and provided a better treatment to Punody.
In fact, STF continued to investigate the “corner of bribe” after receiving a complaint that Hoba had taken Rs of 10 lakh from the defendant and demanded another RS 40 Lakh.
After his investigation, STF sent a report to DGP Haryana, which in turn directed the Police Commissioner Gurgaon KK Rao to take action.
“Inspector, who is responsible for the crime unit, and the unit’s police chief has been suspended.
The investigation has also been initiated under ACP (Crime),” Rao said.
Punkit, the main accusation, also has a criminal record before.
As a teenager, he was detained by Delhi police in 2016 for killing someone in a case of road anger.
He had come out with a guarantee after spending six months at the correctional home and received a ticket to SGT University.
