City celebrate Basant Panchami

Varanasi: In the middle of the Corona pandemic, the city celebrates the Panchami Basant and Saraswati Puja with religious spirit on Saturdays.
Celebrated on the fifth day (Panchami) from the Moon Magh Hindu calendar, this marks spring arrival.
As this festival is dedicated to Dewi Saraswati, Dewi Learning, Goddess idols installed and worshiped in different places.
However, this festival has no luster due to covid-19 restrictions.
Basant Panchami has a special significance for the University of Banaras Hindu (BHU), because the university foundation stone is placed on this favorable occasion (February 4, 1916) by Viceroy from India Lord Hardinging in the presence of the famous Indian governor assembly, and Indian elite.
Bhu celebrates the 107th Foundation Day with great enthusiasm and enthusiasm on this beneficial opportunity.

Meanwhile, ‘Tilkotsav’ Lord Vishwanath was held with a religious ritual at the Kashi Vishwanath Kashi Temple on Saturday morning.
