Barasat: The school headmistress on Wednesday was arrested for allegedly selling the “Sabooj Sathi” cycle in Swarupnagar in 24 North Parneras.
Van-Rickshaw’s pull, Najrul Mondal, was also arrested for buying the cycles.
According to the local residents, Rinu Das, Headmistress of Charghat Girls High School in Swarupnagar, sold at least 50 cycles for more than a few months hidden.
Das, however, said: “Some damaged cycles lying in a room adjacent to a female toilet that turned into a garbage warehouse.
With the approval of school management, they are removed for the distribution of students who need.” Both watershed and mondal are produced at the basirhat court.
