T’puram: Although the minister’s chairman has announced the inauguration of 20,000 new homes under the mission of life in the next 100 programs, the latest data shows that the government has received 9,20,260 applications under the mission looking for a house, which is only 63.42% of the application verified to 6 Jan 2022.
Even among the verified, only 64.5% of applications found to be eligible for processing.
Of the total number of applications received, only 5,83,676 applications are verified to date and 3.76,701 found to be eligible.
As a result, only 40.9% of applicants have been cleaned for houses under the mission to January 6 between districts, Palakkad accepts the maximum application (1,36,228) followed by Thiruvananthapuram (1.16, 763), Kollam (82,805) and malappuram ( 82,441).
The application is categorized as homeless people who have land in their names and those who are homeless and do not have land.
While Palakkad (99,758) accepts the maximum application of those who have ‘own land claims minus houses’, the highest number of applications i.e.
Those who do not have a house and land come from Thiruvananthapuram (41,700).
At the same time, Kasaragod (38,124) and Kannur (38,545) received the least number of applications in both categories that were put together.
The government began receiving applications from Jul 1, 2020 and the opposition quoted that there was a delay in processing this application.
“The target stated from the mission of life is to provide a house for all homeless people at the end of 2021.
The final list of applicants has not been prepared even though the government initially said that the final list would be prepared on September 30, 2020.
It laughed that CM made a new claim in the 100-day program about the mission , When it can’t even prepare the final list of applicants who qualify for houses under the mission, “said the opposition leader VD Sathean.
The government had told the Assembly on November 3 last year that he had completed 2,62,409 houses in the five years of the first LDF government under Pinarayi Vijayan and after being re-elected, he had completed 13,600 fresh houses, in the mission of life.
Local Mandiri Government Minister MV Govindan has stated that work at 87,000 houses is progressing and will be completed by March 31.
The government also claims that the delay is only about fresh and ongoing applications will be finished on time.
