Hyderabad: From every 100 samples of food tested in Hyderabad, 10 percent of them are not safe or below standard.
The head of the GHMC Medical Offi Cer of Health said that from 926 samples were tested, around 98 were found insecure or wrong roads or below the standard.
Samples were collected between June 1 and December 15, 2021, he said in RTI’s reply.
The highest falsification was found in vegetable oils within the larger city corporate corporation limits followed by samples collected from hotels and restaurants.

Food Safety and Standards of Indian Authority (FSSAI) Experts and former scientists with the National Institute of Nutrition Vemula Sudarshan Rao said: “Of the 6,000 samples collected by FSSAI, 7 percent of samples were found below the standard.
