Coimbatore: In a veiled attack on the powerful DMK and Aiaadmk, the Makkal Needhi Founder Kamal Haasan on Wednesday said the poll of the urban local agency had turned into a battle between two corrupt entities.
So to launch a campaign for party candidates, Kamal crashed into DMK because he did not fulfill his poll promises.
He also denied the allegations that MNM was ‘Team B’ from BJP.
“The election has turned into corruption vs.
corruption battle.
We will be happy if they both fail,” Kamal said, calling for people not to be a party for the success of one of the two main Dravidian parties.
“You should not be a reason for the success of one of the corrupt elements.
You have the duty as citizens and Tamil to choose honesty.” Wherever the MNM candidate wins, Kamal said, they will form a strong foundation for healthy and honest politics.
The actor-changed-politicians said that other parties saw politics as a business and means to make money, the MNM candidate was in Fray releasing their duties to serve people.
In some places, he said, other political parties threatened MNM candidates to withdraw from the contest.
“But we bring them to praise.” Coming on the government led by Stalin, Kamal said he could not see an increase in basic infrastructure in Coimbatore even after nine months of DMK rules.
“There is no indication of fulfilling their promises.
DMK said they would be a privatization of the drinking water scheme.
But after ruling, they only tracked the process quickly,” he said.
Kamal said the DMK did not fulfill the promise to cancel the national entrance and entrance test and provide monthly financial assistance to housewives as well.
“Both DMK and AIADMK have practices making promises before the poll and ‘throw them in waste’ after the election.” Denies criticism that MNM is Team B from BJP, Kamal said he did not campaigning for the success of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, but for MNM candidates.
“Modi has its own strategy for the election.
I want the strategy to fail.” The campaign for MNM candidates in various places in this district, Kamal said the MNM candidate would present a monthly report to the public, if they were selected as a board member.
“Will other candidates show accounts every month? They will not, because they come here to make money,” he said.
Kamal said MNM would plant trees for each sound surveyed by the party.
“So, if you choose us, we will not only work for you, but also for future generations too.”
