Gurgaon sees 33 new cases, four deaths

Gurgaon: The city reported 33 new cases of Covid-19 on Tuesday.
With this, the caseload has now reached 1,80,376.
Gurgaon has 642 active cases at present.
Four more people succumbed to the virus on Tuesday, taking the Covid toll to 856.
The fatality rate stands at 0.3% now.
As many as 76 people recovered on Tuesday, and the total number of recoveries has gone up to 1,78,878.
The district’s recovery rate stands at 99.1%.
Meanwhile, 86 people were sent to institutional quarantine facilities on Tuesday.
So far, 15,69,942 people have been put under surveillance.
In the past 24 hours, the health authorities collected 4,284 samples for antigen and RT-PCR tests.
Till now, 15,57,356 samples have been sent for testing, of which 13,72,696 turned out to be negative, while the results of 2,351 are awaited.
As many as 587 people are in home isolation.
“We have less than 600 cases in home isolation at present.
People are advised to follow Covid-appropriate behaviour and avoid venturing out of home unless necessary.
Cases might increase again if covid norms are not followed,” said Dr Virender Yadav, chief medical officer, Gurgaon.
