PATNA: The Patna police on Monday arrested eight individuals for interrogation in relation to the episode of shooting in a rice mill beneath the Bihta police station at the district.
Authorities said a miscreants had attained the rice mill situated on Bihta-Dumri street and opened fire, causing anxiety among the employees.
But, nobody had been hurt in the shooting.
Afterwards, a police group completed raids on suspected hideouts of those accused and picked up eight of those for interrogation.
A dispute over possession of this mill is said to be the reason for the event.
Six cops hurt in assault: at least six police employees, such as a DSP, were hurt in an assault by suspected spirits smugglers in Bikram Hosna village beneath the Asgarganj police station place at Munger area on Sunday afternoon.
The wounded were rushed to a hospital hospital in Munger for therapy.
Woman, children attacked: A female shopkeeper along with her two grandchildren were attacked on Sunday for not supplying smokes for free to 2 miscreants.
The incident happened at Bikramichak village beneath the Masaurhi police station place at Patna district.
The wounded womean, Diggi Devi, and her small grandchildren were hurried to a government clinic to get therapy.
