NEW DELHI: The ministry of finance on Tuesday advised that senior officers will maintain an interactive assembly with IT major Infosys about events in the new Revenue Tax (I-T) portalsite.
“Senior officials of the ministry may maintain an interactive meeting with the seller and staff of this new I-T portal site that’s Infosys, on June 22 between 11 am and 1 pm, respectively” that the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) stated in an official announcement.
Other stakeholders such as members out of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), auditors, advisers and taxpayers are also part of the interaction.
“Written representations about the problems/difficulties confronted in the portal also have been encouraged in the stakeholders.
Agents from Infosys group will be present to answer questions, describe issues and get inputs on the functioning of their portal site and sort out problems faced with the citizens,” that the CBDT circular included.
Since its launch in June 7, the brand new I-T e-filing portal was undergoing a number of glitches.
Taxpayers and tax specialists equally have been whining that are not able to log into or execute any transactions through the site — make sure it publishing a relevant type or reacting to a note from I-T section.
Taking cognisance of this specific situation fund ministry Nirmala Sitharaman had advocated Infosys and its own co-founder Nandan Nilekani to make sure that the new site does not”let taxpayers down at the standard of support being supplied.” In reaction to this finance minister’s conversation, Nandan Nilekani had detected the portal was confronting some technical problems and ensured Infosys was really working to solve them.
The new tax gateway, which attempts to provide intuitive and enhanced user experience, has been created by Infosys.
In 2019the IT major has been given a contract to come up with the brand new tax filing strategy to decrease processing time for yields out of 63 days to a day and reevaluate refunds.
