NEW DELHI: Retirement finance body EPFO on Tuesday deferred execution of its own order submitting of PF yields with Aadhaar-verified worldwide accounts amounts (UAN) until September 1, 2021.
This may give more time for companies to connect their workers Aadhaar amount with PF account or UAN.
Before, the EPFO had put the deadline of June 1, 2021.
The date of execution for submitting ECR (digital challan cum reception or PF yield ) using Aadhaar confirmed UANs was extended to September 1, 2021, revealed a workplace order issued from the Workers’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO).
Even the EPFO had issued workplace arrangement for its area team on June 1 stating that the ECR will likely be permitted to be registered just for those associates, whose Aadhaar amounts are seeded and confirmed using the UAN, with effect from June 1, 2021.
The EPFO had made a decision to create Aadhaar seeding mandatory following a labor ministry telling in this respect.
A notification was issued with the labor ministry May 3, that falsified the ministry along with bodies functioning beneath it to find Aadhaar amount in the inheritance under the Social Security Code.
The Code has been passed by Parliament.” …
the central authorities hereby appoints the 3rd day of May, 2021 since the date in which the terms of part 142 of this stated Social Security Code will come into force,” the telling had stated.
Section 142 provides for setting the identity of a worker or a unorganised employee or some other person via Aadhaar number for hunting advantages and availing providers under the Code.
