Thiruvananthapuram: The explosives found in the woods area at Padam close Pathanapuram have piqued the attention of National Investigation Agency (NIA).
On Tuesday NIA officials detected the place as part of the enquiry however they’re nevertheless to take proper actions and the stunt remains being conducted with the state authorities.
The officials of anti-terrorism group (ATS) of the country authorities also visited the area.
NIA has demonstrated interest in the situation because of suspected terror connections within this situation.

On Monday morning, explosives were discovered by forest department officials in a cashew farm on forest property.

Tuesday’s research operations were directed by Range DIG (Thiruvananthapuram) K Sanjay Kumar Gurudin.
Sniffer dogs have been attracted to comb the area within a 2km radius round the area together with members of their bomb detection and disposal team.
Speaking to TOI, DIG Gurudin reported that the explosives seemed more than a couple of weeks old.
“‘This region is part of a farm that’s frequented by employees.
When the explosives were left handed here a few months past the employees would have discovered it much sooner,” he explained.
