Nagpur: A girl, mom of 2 brothers, was detained on Wednesday for threatening that a physician to kill and kidnap his kids, in an effort to punish Rs1 crore.
The girl, a fashion designer, required that the extortion amount at a letter delivered by way of a courier firm.
The police tracked the girl with the support of CCTV footage.The Beltarodi authorities headed by senior PI Vijay Akot on Wednesday made the girl until the judicial magistrate, who shipped to police custody until June 19.
After directives from senior officers, Beltarodi PI Akot refused to disclose the identity of those accused.
Authorities stated Dr Tushar Pande, 48, a resident of Somalwada, along with his physician wife have Utkarsh Maternity Home in Manish Nagar.
On June 11, at about 5.30pm that he received a letter .
Dr Pande discovered that the letter with an unidentified sender had threatened to hurt his loved ones and wanted Rs1 crore.
“The extortionist had threatened to kill his own two kids when he advised the authorities,” authorities said.The same afternoon, Dr Pande approached Beltarodi police station and lodged a complaint from the anonymous extortionist.
Dr Pande was requested to keep the amount in a sack near a crap line in Manish Nagar area on June 17 at 4am.
The police filed a case and began diagnoses under DCP Akshay Shinde and ACP Nilesh Palve together with Akot and PSI Vikas Manpiya.
To begin with, the authorities checked the courier facility from where the correspondence was reserved for shipping.
It subsequently crossed-checked CCTV cameras set up in the area.
It helped them spot the defendant as a middle-aged girl who seen the courier center riding a two-wheeler.
The authorities subsequently screened CCTV footage all streets which the anonymous girl drover her two-wheeler.
CCTV footage demonstrated the unidentified girl entered Shipli Society near UCO Bank, Manish Nagar.The confirmation of this two-wheeler’s registration amount shown the specific address of this accused.
The authorities picked up the girl, and through interrogation she spilled the beans.
The police detained and seized the two-wheeler employed from the crime.Police reported the girl and her husband had been Dr Pande’s sufferers, and beneath his therapy after testing positive for Covid-19 a few weeks ago.
Authorities said that the husband of the accused functions within a telecom business and they’d obtained a home loan of Rs60 lakh.
This resulted in fiscal burden on the family members and disturbance in their wedded life.
Therefore, the girl snatched the strategy to make cash from the physician.
“We’re attempting to determine if she was an accomplice in the crime,” stated senior PI Akot.
