KOLKATA: The National Commission for Scheduled Tribes (NCST), that has achieved to households impacted by post-poll violence, on Wednesday urged the Bengal authorities to take immediate measures to prevent atrocities against tribals from the nation.
An NCST group, headed by commission penis Ananta Nayak, acquired eight complaints because the meeting election results were announced on May 2 and has since toured Radhanagar and Narayangarh at West Midnapore, Jamboni at Jhargram, Kakora at East Burdwan and Sandeshkhali from North 24 Parganas.
The NCST has received complaints regarding 16 homes belonging to ST community members at East Burdwan being lately placed on fire.
“It is very important that this violence has been stopped instantly and the associates of the ST community have been attracted to the mainstream the society through numerous government strategies,” Nayak said.
