MUMBAI: The Mumbai Police on Thursday claimed to have solved the event of theft at a jewelry store in just six hours of being registered by arresting a worker of the store who had been hired only five days .
Hiralal Kumawat (26) has been detained from Kasa Khurd, a village at the Palghar area of Maharashtra.
Hiralal was attempting to flee Rajasthan at a taxi he had hired advance before he implemented the thieving of ornaments worth Rs 30.42 lakh in Riya Gold Jewellery Shop at Powai on Wednesday.
Lately, Hiralal perpetrated the theft barely a month later he had been released on bond on May 20 at case of theft.
“The jeweller, Ashok Mandot, made Hiralal according to a mention he’d obtained from Rajasthan.
Mandot was oblivious of Hiralal’s criminal record.
Hiralal was captured with the support of specialized surveillance,” explained a police officer.
Hiralal perpetrated the theft between 2pm and 2.30pm if his company had gone home to get supper.
Ashok learnt regarding the theft if he returned found Hiralal missing.
Ashok revealed that the shelf glass of the store was busted up and 676g gold decorations were lost.
According to Ashok’s criticism, deputy commissioner of police Maheshwar Reddy formed a group that scanned CCTV footages in Powai neighborhood and recognized a Haryana-registered taxi where Kumawat was traveling together with the luggage containing stolen decorations.
