AHMEDABAD:”The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) at Gujarat detained seven individuals for alleged ownership of 994 g of mephedrone, a prohibited psychotropic compound, value Rs 1 crore, ” on Thursday,” an official said on Thursday.
“Acting to a tip-off, an NCB team captured drug providers and buyers that had been in the practice of striking a bargain near Vadodara town,” zonal manager of the NCB’s Ahmedabad unit, S K Mishra explained.
“at least seven men, including two girls, were apprehended with 994 g of mephedrone,” he explained, adding the group also captured more than 7.5 lakh in cash and 3 automobiles in the accused.
“While most of the accused were from various parts of Gujarat, the medication consignment is supposed to have originated in neighboring Maharashtra,” Mishra said.
