Sara Ali Khan and Varun Dhawan starrer ‘Coolie No 1’ was launched as a masala entertainer packed with all the ingredients for a grand theatrical release.
However due to the pandemic, the movie released on a streaming platform and received a mixed response from fans.
Opening up about the movie getting criticized on Twitter, Sara told a news portal that Varun told her that they don’t have the box office to decide the fate of the film.
While Sara believed that ‘Coolie No 1’ needed a multiplex opening and it wasn’t the kind of film that she would let the Twitterati judge.
Next up, Sara Ali Khan will be seen in ‘Atrangi Re’.
Directed by Aanand L Rai, this film features Sara in the lead role with Akshay Kumar and Dhanush.
In March Sara had announced the film’s wrap.
