LUCKNOW: Indian men’s hockey team ahead Lalit Upadhyay, who hails from Bhagatpur village at Varanasi, has caused it into the 16-member men’s baseball team declared for Tokyo Olympic around Friday.
Raring to show his mettle, Lalit is one of the 10 players that will represent India at the Olympics for the first time.
Beginning his trip in baseball from UP College at Varanasi under trainer Parmanand Mishra, Lalit proceeded to be part of Indian baseball squad for a center forward.
He’s played 200 games up to now, such as 8-10 global championships this past season.
Lalit, that has represented India in just two baseball world cup occasions, is now headquartered in Bangalore.
While his dad Satish Upadhyay and mum Rita Upadhyay remain in Bhagatpur, Lalit’s senior brother operates in CAG workplace in Prayagraj.
Lalit is now employed as an assistant supervisor with BPCL and can be submitted in Pt Deendayal Upadhyay Nagar (Mughalsarai).
Expressing joy over his child’s accomplishment, Lalit’s dad Satish Upadhyay explained:”I was able to run a store and took up a little job in a personal lender to encourage my loved ones.
I didn’t have sufficient funds to market my son also supply him appropriate facilities.
He’s attained this point from the dint of his hard work and perseverance.
I want him all the victory.” The information of Lalit’s choice brought cheers one of gamers in Varanasi and around the nation.
They expected this’Kashi ka laal’ (son of Varanasi) would deliver victory to the nation.
Director, sports, RP Singh also congratulated Lalit on his choice and expected that the gifted participant for UP will produce the nation and Uttar Pradesh very happy.
