AHMEDABAD: India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Saturday declared the southwest monsoon has further progressed into staying sections of Gujarat and coated the whole state together with southern Arabian Sea and a few sections of Rajasthan.
A number of systems across the country are providing rainfall to different components, said the IMD prediction, forecasting good rainfall throughout the country for next fourteen weeks.

Based on State Emergency Operations Centre (SEOC) statistics, Anjar at Kutch received maximum 131mm rain from 6am to 10pm, followed closely by Mangrol at Junagadh (104mm) and Bhanvad at Devbhoomi Dwarka (101mm).
Overall, 16 taluka of this nation received 50mm or more rain a day.
