NEW YORK: The International Yoga Day was celebrated in the iconic Times Square at New York on Sunday.

The day-long yoga festival using the topic of’Solstice at Times Square 2021′ had been attended by over 3,000 individuals where yogis, using their yoga mats and elastic bodies, stuffed Times Square to indicate the beginning of summer.
Consulate General of India, New York partnered with the Times Square Alliance to sponsor the Yoga parties under the subject’Solstice for Times Square 2021′.
“As we observe yoga in the iconic Times Square – in the crossroads of the Earth, let’s remind ourselves of this genuinely international embrace of yoga.
Yoga has been created in India but is still a part of international legacy now.
Yoga is all about wellness, well-being and around living in harmony with nature.
Meditation is a method of life and now we have to attempt to exercise it in its entirety, to get a peaceful society and also to get a greener world,” Randhir Jaiswal, Consul General informed ANI.
“It has been an amazing experience resulting in yoga, pranayama and meditation in Times Square NYC.
Seeing a huge number of yogis experience stillness beneath the turmoil of the city which never ceases,” explained Ruchika Lal who engaged in the function.
In accordance with this year’s international topic – Yoga for Wellness – since cultivated by the United Nations (UN), the event showcased holistic wellness, Ayurvedic and nature-based health products out of Tribes India (TRIFED) along with other Indian businesses.
The stalls brought a great number of people, keen to find out about the uniqueness of Indian Tribal, Ayurvedic and organic goods.
The day-long yoga party provided seasoned yogis and first-timers likewise the opportunity to make a yoga mat into the legendary public area and take part in a free yoga class.
The Consulate General given a bag of goods out of TRIFED and a few health products made in India too.
“I really like to exercise Yoga Times Square each year around Solstice.
I would like to thank the Consulate with this present,” a participant said.
The enrollment to the event is complete, according to the Times Square site.
The event may also be attended nearly by viewing a course on a live stream.
The Times Square yoga conducted from 7:30 am till 8:30 pm, divided into nine distinct classes, as per a schedule.
The International Day of Yoga was celebrated in New Jersey now in the Liberty State Park using all the Statue of Liberty from the background.
This really was a community-led affair offered from the Federation of Indian doctors.
Famous yoga educator Thara Natalie headed the yoga practice.
