CHENNAI: Authorities have launched a hunt for two member gang that broke open two ATM kiosks in Taramani and Velachery and decamped with Rs 8.52 lakh.
Police suspected that the identical gang could have been engaged in both ATM kiosks burglary reported in Virugambakkam and Ramapuram, a couple of days back.
Authorities said that the incident came to light following a resident observed that the SBI ATM in the Vijaya Nagar bus terminus in Velachery tampered with on Sunday.
Following the resident educated, a police team in the Velachery police station seen the ATM.
The group attacked the bank officials that analyzed the ATM and verified that the money was stolen.
