TOKYO: Six members of the Ugandan Olympic staff were quarantined in Japan until early July, a local official said Tuesdayafter a trainer tested positive for coronavirus on birth a week.

“Today we’re requiring them to remain in the resort till July 3,” the officer said, adding that the town was looking into the prospect of letting training away from the resort.
The eight associates have tested negative and so are in good shape, the official stated.
They haven’t left the resort since coming or had contact with other people, he further added.
The group, that’s the next to arrive at Japan for the Games following Australia’s softball players, had been due to arrive in Japan on June 16.
However, their flight has been cancelled after a spike in Covid-19 instances in Uganda, local press said.
