Tuticorin: Maniyachi police in Tamil Nadu arrested a woman on Monday for killing her husband.
Mariappan, 56, Keelalapoovani Village near Maniyachi was killed by his wife Pechimal, 44, on Sunday, police said.
The preliminary question revealed that the couple had lived separately over the past six years due to differences between them.
Sunday night, Mariapan was found lying hurt in a plot of land in the village.
He rushed to Tirunelveli medical medical hospital where he died.
During the investigation, Maniyachi police learned that Pechimal grazed the goat in a land on Sunday night when Mariappan went there in a drunk condition and took a fight with him.
The woman attacked her with stones and logs, leaving her bleeding.
He escaped from the scene.
Based on an investigation and autopsy, the police ordered Pechiammal for murder and arrest him.
