Mumbai: Mumbai reported 608 new Coronavirus infections and 18 new deaths on Monday, while 714 patients recovered from this disease, said the body of Civic City.
With this, the calculation of Covid-19 cases jumped to 7.20,964, while the death toll increased to 15,414, according to the data updated by Brihanmumta Municipal Corporation (BMC).
Mumbai has witnessed a decline in new cases but increased death compared to Sunday, when the city has registered 746 cases and 13 deaths.
At present, Mumbai has 8,453 Covid-19 cases active, BMC said.
BMC said with 714 patients were removed from the hospital during the day, the cumulative number of cases restored rose to 6.94,796.
According to the Civic body, so far 70,72,953 Covid-19 tests have been carried out in the city, including 28,295 tests in the last 24 hours.
Mumbai has a 96% Covid recovery rate, while the average growth rate of cases between June 21 and June 27 is 0.9%, he said.
Level of doubling the case in the metropolis is 728 days, according to the data.
Mumbai has 12 active detention zones in slums and ‘Chawl’ (old line plots) and 82 closed buildings (where a number of certain residents have tested positive Coronavirus), BMC said.
The Financial Capital Capital has reported the case of 11,163 Covid-19 highs on April 4, while most deaths a day during the second wave – at the age of 90 – registered on May 1.
