Thane: In the case of surprising negligence, a resident Thane was given three doses of the Covid-19 vaccine back on the same day.
The incident occurred on June 25 when Rupali 28-year-old Sali visited the Anand Nagar vaccination center in Thane to take Jab.
But when he reached there, health workers were present in the middle of giving him not one, but three vaccine shots one by one, leaving the woman was confused.
The incident was only revealed when he panicked and narrated him to her husband, who then told the official.
An official from Thane Municipal Corporation stated that the incident was a case of negligence by the vaccination center staff.
“The woman was not aware of the vaccination process, so she didn’t even object at the time.
He has been examined by our senior doctor and is really fine,” he said.
Previously on that day, TMC medical health workers, Dr.
Vaijanti Devgikar denied that such incidents occurred.
However, soon after, Thane Mayor Naresh Mhaske confirmed to reporters that Sali was indeed given three vaccine shots.
BJP leader Manohar Dumbare claimed that the administration tried to suppress mistakes, but Mhaske stated that he was the first person to tell the country’s authority about the incident.
“This is the first time an incident happened in Thane.
Claims that the civil body tried to cover up a truly wrong mistake.
I myself told the state health department about the incident and I also rebuked the doctor and staff at the vaccination center.
I even talked directly to The woman’s husband.
So it’s impossible that the incident was ignored, “he said.
Civic body officials are now investigating incidents and strict actions will be taken against those who are found guilty, the mayors are guaranteed.
