Mumbai: More than 1,500 students from universities affiliated with Mumbai University have been digitally trained to fight vaccine doubts and disseminate information about Covid’s appropriate behavior since May.
Post the training, these students have succeeded in reaching more than 22,500 people through WhatsApp and have uploaded more than 1,250 posts on various social media handles to create awareness in their network.
United Way Mumbai, an NGO working on Covid-19 assistance since the beginning of the pandemic, conducting this training program, working with UNICEF and NSS wings of the University of Mumbai.
Students help attend the safety and behavior protocol that matches Covid by using step-by-step video guides, informative posters, voice records, and audiograms.

Other students, Juhi Gokani from KC College managed to convince his mother in believing that there was nothing wrong with vaccinating during menstruation, using information from the campaign.
He said, “Training in Covid-19 is very helpful because we receive a lot of verified and broken myths such as getting vaccination when menstruation is not safe.
