Thiruvananthapuram: The officer’s officer from a special crime unit from the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in Delhi reached the capital on Monday to perform a detailed probe into the case of sensational ISRO espionage.
The camping team in the CBI office in Muttathara in the capital, has begun a detailed examination of documents connected with the case.
It can be studied reliably that there is a possibility of arrest in this case soon.
The team has asked the former ISRO scientist Nambi Narayanan to appear before Tuesday to give his statement in this case.
As many as 18 former police officers, including those who served in Kerala police and intelligence agencies during the iSro espionage case, have been named the defendant in the First Information Report (FIR) delivered by the CBI in the Judge Judicial Court here.
The CBI has quoted a violation, including conspiracy, physical torture and forged false documents to trap central government officials.
The Supreme Court on April 15 ordered the CBI to see justice D K Jain Committee reported the role of several senior state police officers, who have framed ISRO Nambi Narayanan scientists in the case of espionage.
Narayanan has taken the problem of taking action against the mistaken officials with the Supreme Court by submitting a civilian writ.
Former IPS officers, including Siby Mathews, Mathew John and R B Sreehumar, are among those who have been crowned by the CBI in Fir.
Mathews, which was accused of fourth in this case in accordance with FIR, has been given anticipatory guarantee by the District Court, Thiruvananthapuram.
Mathews is the excavation (crime) when the case occurs.
