Hyderabad: Incident Blast Darbhanga in Bihar has exposed the security gap at the Secunderabad train station.
There is no scanner to find out the products received at the Counter of Parcel.
Until now only the passenger entry point has a baggage scanner in Secunderabad.
Until the explosion took place at the Darbhanga train station on June 17, it was not on the train that knew that the explosive package was received and then transported to Darbhanga.
At Secunderabad Station, there are no facilities to find out what is received in the package office.
When contacted, South Central Railway (SCR) official admitted that there was no scanner in the Parcel office, but was clarified that there were four CCTVs in the office and everything was in working conditions.
“It is not true that we got a proposal two years ago.
It was accepted recently and was being considered.
REPORTS will be made and then CCTV will be added.
The proposal was sent for less than 100 CCTV,” SCR officials were concerned.
On June 15 , two people came to the Secunderabad train station in the taxi and went to the parcel office and ordered shipments as garments.
