Kolkata: There is a slight decline in the number of vaccinations in the state on Monday because many private hospitals must hold camps outside their site.
Until the entrance report, the number of doses floated right below the 3 lakh sign, which was reached at five consecutive days last week.
“About 300 recipients each will be inoculated in our 14 off-site camps that have been postponed temporarily.
But we hope we will be able to start the drive on these sites soon,” said an AMRI hospital official.
Until the report ended, 2,93,491 doses had been given in the state of 1996 vaccination sites, which were around 62,000 recipients inoculated in Kolkata.
“On a certain day other than Sunday, close to 200 private camps will operate in Kolkata.
On Monday, only 105 personal camps functioned because many have to delay their outreach sites.
But the problem on the new SOP will be ironed in two more days, “Said a State Health Department official.
In addition to 105 private centers, 246 government sites travel in the city.
While the drive where the hospital is limited to between 300 to 1,000 doses per site, many hospitals have administratively more doses in camps outside the location or at least 50% of daily doses of these camps.
“We can reach double or triple from our outdoor or off-site camp compared to the number of doses that we manage in the hospital.
Because some of us have to close our camp for now, it will clearly have a decrease in the number of daily doses.
We hope the health department does not take the time to issue an approval letter and other formalities so we can start going to these camps earlier, “said a private hospital official.
